What a Success!

Building Blocks Parents, you have outdone yourselves!  What a wonderful show of love and thanksgiving you provided for our volunteer teachers.  The brunch was a BIG success and all of the teachers were so appreciative.  I actually had numerous teachers tell me that in the nine years they have volunteered, this is the first organized show of appreciation they had received.  I truly hope this will not be the last.  Julie and I were there for the entire school day and I can tell you that these teachers work very hard and go home exhausted each week.

I just wanted to share their thanks to each of you and let those of you who couldn't be there see how it all turned out.

The fruit and beverage table.  Thanks should go out to Denise and Julie for much of the decor.

The hot food and pastry table.

The dining table in the library.  The church library turned out to be the perfect place for the event.  It was close to the classrooms and had a large table for eating.  At one point the room was packed!  Great fellowship was had and we sent each of them home with  a mug full of candy as a token of our appreciation.

I also had a chance to go into some of the classrooms and see first hand some of the great work the teachers are doing.  This was Bible time.

This is my little girl's third year at Building Blocks Preschool and sadly will be her last as she graduates in May.  I hope that the teacher appreciation meal can become an annual event.  Any of you parents who are able to organize for the next year, feel free to step up.  I hope to be back in a couple of years when my little one is old enough to receive the same blessings and training for school and life that my oldest has received.  How blessed we all are to have found such a dedicated group of teachers who volunteer and make early education possible for many who could not have afforded it otherwise!
Again, thank you for all of your help.

In Christ,
Angie Coleman
