No Luncheon This Semester :(

Hello everyone,
I have just learned that there will be no school tomorrow.  This means we will have to postpone our luncheon.  I have discussed possible dates with some parents and so far the consensus would be in mid February, to coincide with Valentines Day.  If you have any other ideas please share.  Thank you all for your willingness to help with this event.  I am so sad that we will not be able to show our appreciation for our teachers this year.  Stay warm and we will be in touch with you after the New Year.
Wishing you and yours a joyous and very merry Christmas,
Angie Coleman

It's Almost Here!

Our Building Blocks Teacher Appreciation Luncheon is coming up tomorrow. Barring bad weather, we'll be starting the luncheon at 11:30. Please bring your dishes to the library by 11 am so we can set it up. The Library is the in the next hallway over from the classrooms. It is the fourth room on the right. We will also have thank you cards available, so don't forget to sign them to thank our teachers. If Fayette County Schools are cancelled, school and the luncheon are cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. Can't wait to see you!

Welcome to our new blog!

Hello Building Blocks Preschool Parents,
My daughter Sarah has been attending Building Blocks for three years now and I have the utmost respect for the dedicated volunteers who have spent untold hours preparing lessons and teaching our little ones without asking anything in return.  After talking with another preschool parent, Julie Allen, we thought that it would be great if we parents gave back to these men and women.  Because there are 20 plus volunteers, it is difficult to purchase gifts for every staff member.  Our discussion then led to the idea of a teacher appreciation luncheon.

We are so grateful that each of you have volunteered to help in this effort!   The luncheon is set for the last Tuesday of school this semester, December 14.  We discussed the idea with Sabrina and she is definitely on board.  She said that around 11:30 am would be the best time to serve the staff.  We will need many dishes as well as lots of hands that day, setting up, relieving the teachers as they eat, and cleaning up after the luncheon.  I have made each of you administrators of this blog, so that each of you are welcome to add posts, update lists, etc.  With all of your help, we hope to have a successful event for our deserving teachers!
In Him,
Angie Coleman
